The Babies are Born!

Got my little babies on Friday…Ain’t they sweet? Going to be going to their new homes March 16th…It’s incredible. So much work all packed into a small plastic square with a circle inside. It feels good in my hands.

Here I am, covered in plastic!

Here I am, covered in plastic!

Went out and celebrated in the rain that night. Met with friends on a covered porch and listened to the sounds.  Good things. (Yes, I love Martha Stewart.)

"And I love a rainy night..."

Van the Man on YouTube Tuesday!

Howdy Kids–Well, it’s been super warm and lovely in Los Angeles this past week. And for some reason, it made me nostalgic for my college in Connecticut.  I’m crazy I know. But it put me in the mood for Van Morrison’s “Into the Mystic”, which always reminded me of the little seaport towns in New England…So here she blows!  ;)

In other news, I just got a call that my CDs are ready to ship!!! Yahoo!!!!  Love and kisses…

Gangsta rap made me do it…

YouTube Tuesdays is a new weekly video series I’ve started…This Tuesday, I decided to tackle the completely UNambitious task of covering T.I. and Justin Timberlake’s masterful “Dead and Gone”.  47 takes later I got something–useable.  ;) *Note:  I self-bleeped! It’s FCC and family friendly rap!  Party party party…xox

Working…

Mondays are for working...Mondays are for big lists and big expectations of big production.  Mondays are for productivity. Mondays are for coffee.  Mondays are for anxiety.  Mondays are for Monday.

Work!

Work!

Thus endeth my deep thoughts.  Here’s a surface thought: Thought the Grammies were lame.  All pomp and no circumstance. With a few exceptions. Speaking of circumstance, there’s a circumstance this evening. Am I using that word right? I don’t think so.  If circumstances don’t prevent you from coming, come join 4 of us onstage at Room 5 in Hollywood! I don’t know about you but I’m looking forward to my guitar at my lips and a glass of wine in my lap.  Strike that. Reverse it.  Rock and roll.

Brrrrrrr!

I’m telling you man…Los Angeles with no central heat and flimsy windows in a storm is way colder than sub-zero Ohio with lots of heat and weather insulation. My puppy has no idea the sacrifice I’m making just to walk him! What do people in Seattle do with their dogs? I bet they all have retrievers.

In other news, the other outcome from the inclement weather is that I’m back to baking.  Yummmm…

But I have to get super trim and perfect so I can look good at my album release which SHOULD be announced very soon because the mastering is finished!! The artwork is almost finished, and the printers have been chosen. Good things, all.

Okay my hands are frozen–time to huddle over the space heater again!
